A Young  Icon of the Month Puravi on March in 2017

By Florencia Moro Bertucci, Associate Editor & Saeed Duha Editor

It was the Sunday, the Atlantic Avenue was crowded and we were walking through at the corner of Indiana Ave. It is very common here, people keep asking for a quarter this area. But everywhere has a hope and a dream to survive.

We were looking for Halal food, especially nearby outlet one Bengali Halal Restaurant is available, it is called Mr. Streak.

A number of Middle east people and Muslims keep asking for Halal Restaurant. However, Mr. Steak is a spacious place and a five-star feedback holder at Yelp and I assumed that they organized party approximately 300 people occupancy. People can sit and have their food at a time.

Inside the restaurant, there’s a tiny room and we heard few kids are playing(?). We asked the owner what were those children doing with books and we were greatly surprised when she explained that it was the Students Mentoring Centre (SMC) where every Saturday and Sunday students come and get help with their homework.

Curiosity took the best of us and we decided to investigate what that program was. After asking for permission, the Authority mentioned that every weekend two girls offer classes for Community students after school and help them with maths, science, and writing for their school assignments.Into the classroom, we found three girls and two boys, Willingly,  we talked about it with the teacher, it’s interesting and I love their idea and creativity.

Surprisingly, I loved a girl among the three girls, she is the 7th Grader At   Richmond Ave  School, Ventnor City and she also comes here every Sunday with her sister a student of  Stockton University, but the teacher in SMC, to help others two boys those are second graders and even 5th graders.

Because she loves sharing her learning with others. It is really the fascinating experience for a reporter.

That different story, attracted our attention because a little school girl her enthusiasm and interest to support for others students those are almost her class level. It is praiseworthy and everyone should give her credit.

We talked to her few minutes and asked few question about her, She is a 7th grader student of the Richmond Ave school and she loves literature and she is a hard worker and she loves reading, but her hobby is writing. The talent, a  little girl name is Puravi Islam, she is an amazing girl, genius and Puravi always smiles. We love her teaching passion, that’s why we have selected her as a Young icon of the month in March in 2017  on the behalf The Kak Atlantic. Congratulation dear Puravi! We wish all success of your life. A gift on the behalf of kak Atlantic for your great contribution. An addition, she is a good daughter she listens to her parents and she reads the Quraan of the Muslim Holy Book, according to her sister.

The Kak Atlantic has selected as A Young Icon of the Month, Congratulation!

She has a combination of many qualities, she is beautiful, brilliant and the boost as a young Icon  for the community students’.

The Egg Harbor Township was silence and the street lights were turned off because a play was going to be on the stage.  Many spectators were waiting in the line, the Que extended to the out of the school yard and the tickets were selling only $5.00.  On the other hand, School students also were indulging to sell play lovers  Tees and Candies for fundraising. Undoubtedly, it pulled me promptly back of my school life. What a golden time it is!  It was before starting the Play ” Beauty and the Beast ”

Flyer!

The Auditorium was with full of kids, adults and parent’s viewers. The excitement touched the roof of the building, Young – adolescent were overwhelmed by the freedom because it was Friday before the weekend. However, I cannot wait on line with surprise that I was going to watch a stage performance after long times.  Before entering into the Auditorium my eyes were stuck with the flyer, it was written, “Beauty lies within ..” A question was raised in my mind. Was it a beauty contest? What story will bring for us? Miss. School Egg Harbor or Something else! or Beast! My all dubious got an answer immediately by watching the show, It was unparalleled! But this was a combination of song, drama, and tragedy, however, it was full of the human being loving lesson. Directed by Mr. Kevin McCafferty and Music Director Ms.Marisa Lehrer.

Alder Avenue Middle School presents ” Beauty & the Beast ” at the Auditorium of the Fernwood Ave Middle School at 7.p.m. Priontee performed one of the main Characters of this play, she was admirable Mrs. Potts!

The Disney’s famous Beauty and The Beast play had been staged in the Auditorium of Fernwood Ave Middle School, but performers were, the students of the Alder Avenue Middle School, all were energetic and empowered actors and actresses.  Students Presented the “Beauty and the Beast” on Friday at 7.p.M on February 24, 2017. it was been continued until Sunday,26 February.

The play shown the best humanity for school going children and it strongly differentiated their mentality in comparing between the generosity and cruelty by loving book. It was terrific! Watch this: Beauty & Beast her performance

img_1840

At the beginning, the play started with introducing the Beast who is inhuman, the character played by Mr. Andrew Ireland a young and tall actor, King of the Castle, but brutal!

The King did not learn how to read. In contrast, The main character the Bell ( Raneen Regani) loves reading book and she is generous, fond of reading.  With the order of the Beast,  his companion captured the Bell’s father.

“She agreed to give herself to the Beast with condition that he must let her father free” from Beauty & the Beast.

The Beast invites her to dinner and around the symbolic tools, but characters e.g. Babette, Potts helped and encouraged Bell to be bold. One the of the Main Character Mrs. Potts spoke with Ms. Bell and she sang all around the play. Who is she? She is none, but she is our Community’s young brilliant School student, and the pioneer Ishpita Tamjid Priontee . She is one of the important characters of “Beauty and the Beast ” play.

for that reason, She is the feature of the month on February in 2017  on The kak Atlantic. Priontee loves singing, reciting, and finally performing, in other words, she is excellent and a star student.
